Montreal, Canada - April 24, 2009 - Aimtec continues to expand its surface mount product offering by adding the AM2LV-NZ series of 2 watt, SMD DC-DC converters.
With internal SMT construction, Aimtec's AM2LV-NZ boasts industry standard surface mount pin configuration for easy integration into existing and new space critical applications.
Eighteen models offer wide (2:1) input ranges of 9~18 or 18~36 VDC , step-down to tightly regulated (±0.5%) single and dual output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12 or 15 VDC. Other valuable features of the AM2LV-NZ series includes input/output isolation of 1500VDC and continuous short circuit protection with auto-recovery restart.
Operating at efficiencies as high as 80% within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +71°C at full load or up to +85°C with derating, the AM2LV-NZ series requires no other external components for full performance, making these space efficient converters ideally suited for telecommunications equipment, battery powered application, industrial control and automation systems, and board level power distribution subsystems.
